Bio Blanket (2017)

Bio Blanket was an experimental performance and treatment pointing to research to replace missing microbes from Kathy High’s gut. Since the efficacy of probiotics have been questioned, High decided to try a dermal transfer therapy, applying growth bacterial cultures to her abdomen. The bacteria applied were particular ones missing from her gut profile that are typically found in the guts of “healthy” humans.  The hopes are that they might bacteria might make its way through the skin to the gut! This treatment will be repeated.
